As a result from my work with the Dordogne Children's Choir I was asked in 2010 to conduct (parts of) Messiah with the School Choirs of Hauts-de-Seine (Paris) and the Conservatory Orchestra of Suresnes. I had 200 (!) young singers before me, and the result was (in all modesty) impressive.
In 2007, 2010 and 2013 Ton Koopman and I were leading 'Bach' workshops organised by the Institut Néerlandais in Paris. I had the tremendous pleasure conducting each of these years a selected group of excellent amateur and semi-professional singers. (Bach motets). NEDERLANDS KAMERKOOR
The magnificent Nederlands Kamerkoor (Dutch Chamberchoir) invited me in 2014 to conduct Giovanni Gabrieli motets and Madrigals in the Delft Chamber Music Festival, with Lisza Ferschtman. In 2015 I conducted the same group in the Haarlem Koorbiënnale. We performed Robert Whites 5 part lamentations around midnight in the Sint Bavo church. In 2016 we had Gabrieli again with Sweelinck and Britten on the music stands for a short concert for entrepreneurs and captains of industry in the Castle of Haarzuilen. |

PLENUM GRONINGEN |
Also in 2010 I was asked to lead a new Parisian Baroque Orchestra called 'La Dauphine'. It was an initiative taken by amateur and semi-professional instrumentalists who had participated in the Bach workshop(s) at the Institut Néerlandais. We performed music by Rameau, Telemann and Muffat.
April 2013 I had the honour and privilege to conduct the sumptuous 16th century Medici wedding-music called La Pellegrina with Musica Retorica in the beautiful church of St. Martin, Groningen (NL). We had a marvelous 'renaissance-band' and great soloists: Michaela Riener and Jasper Schweppe. PLENUM
As a result of a Leiden Choirbook workshop in Groningen a new choir was founded in 2014, called PLENUM, with the aim to sing twice a year large scale works for choir. I was happy and proud to be the conductor and artisic leader of this wonderful group of advanced amateur-singers. PLENUM stopped after 10 marvellous editions, in 2020. More about PLENUM here |
