For the 20th anniversary of Ton Koopman's own festival in Dordogne the Amsterdam Baroque Choir,
for the occasion consisting of 24 female singers, sang motets of Chiara Margarita Cozzolani (1602-1677), a Benedictine nun who composed fantastic music for the convent of Santa Radegonda in Milano. What a pleasure !!! I felt like a child in a candy or toyshop,and Ton even agreed to have his singers in a half circle and the instruments behind the singers. It was just wonderful, magic ! |
